Tailoring Training Workshop Empowering Women Through Skill Development
We are excited to share the progress of our ongoing Tailoring Training Workshop, which takes place every Tuesday and Thursday over a dedicated 9-month period. This workshop is part of our broader commitment to empowering girls with the skills and resources they need to achieve financial independence and improve their quality of life.
Over the course of 9 months, the beneficiaries are immersed in a structured curriculum covering all aspects of tailoring, from basic sewing techniques to advanced garment construction. The training also includes sessions on fabric selection, pattern making, and quality control, ensuring that participants gain a well-rounded skill set.
Workshop Overview
- Experienced Instructors: Our workshop is led by 2 professional tailors who provide hands-on guidance and mentorship. Their expertise not only helps participants master the technical skills but also instil confidence and creativity in their work.
- Practical Experience: The Aitenga girls are given opportunities to work on real-life projects, including custom orders and group assignments. This practical experience is invaluable in preparing them for future employment or entrepreneurial endeavours.
- Supportive Community: The workshop fosters a supportive and collaborative environment where participants can learn from each other, share ideas, and build lasting connections. This sense of community is a crucial aspect of our program, as it encourages mutual support and continuous growth.
As we continue this journey over the next few months, we remain committed to supporting our participants every step of the way. We are excited to see their progress and look forward to celebrating their achievements at the end of the program. Stay connected with us for more updates on this transformative initiative.
