Shaping Futures: Career & Education Pathway Workshop at St. Mario’s Senior Secondary School

Students at St. Mario’s Senior Secondary School recently participated in an inspiring Career and Education Pathway Workshop facilitated by the Aitenga team. The session emphasized the importance of making thoughtful choices today to shape a brighter tomorrow, encouraging learners to view education not just as a classroom experience, but as a gateway to opportunity, purpose, and personal growth. Through engaging and interactive group discussions, students explored various career and education options, learned how to set meaningful goals, and identified how to align their personal strengths with available opportunities. The workshop also highlighted how informed career and education decisions can contribute to both individual success and the development of the wider community.

The A-Level students were particularly intrigued by insights into short courses and university funding opportunities, expressing that this was their first time receiving such comprehensive career guidance. Many shared that the workshop opened their eyes to new possibilities and helped them better understand how to plan their future paths.  In addition, the school administration expressed great appreciation for the opportunity to host the Aitenga team. It was their first time partnering with an organization to engage students on career and education matters, and they shared that the workshop offered valuable insights on how to better support their learners’ growth and aspirations. The Aitenga team’s dedication and mentorship left a lasting impression, motivating students to dream bigger, plan confidently, and take charge of their educational and career journeys with renewed purpose
