Self-Defense Workshop Empowers Advanced Tailoring Students

Our advanced tailoring students recently participated in a self-defense workshop, adding a new dimension to their training and personal development. The workshop was facilitated by a team from the Friends of Taekwondo Academy, who led students through a structured and engaging program designed to build awareness and practical safety skills.

The session began with a theory component, during which the facilitators walked students through the fundamentals of personal safety. This included understanding how to defend oneself in threatening situations and recognizing the early warning signals that could indicate potential danger. Students were encouraged to ask questions and engage openly with the material, creating an interactive and informative discussion.

The second half of the workshop moved into a practical session, where students were introduced to a range of self-defense techniques. Under the guidance of the Taekwondo Academy team, participants had the opportunity to practice the moves themselves, building both confidence and physical awareness in a safe and supportive environment. The workshop reflects our ongoing commitment to the holistic development of our students , ensuring that alongside their vocational training, they are also equipped with life skills that support their safety and wellbeing beyond the classroom.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Friends of Taekwondo Academy for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and expertise with our students. We look forward to continued partnerships that enrich the experiences and opportunities available to those in our programs.
