Reproductive Health Workshop Empowers Students with Essential Knowledge
Students at the workshop received critical guidance on reproductive health as Dr. Kiiza Pius led an engaging and informative session focused on STIs, STDs, and UTIs. He explained how these infections are commonly transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse, unsafe blood transfusions, and poor hygiene, and emphasized the importance of early detection, regular checkups, and proper treatment.
Throughout the workshop, participants took part in open discussions, raising questions about prevention methods and the support available for those who may become infected.

Grace, one of the students, shared that Dr. Kiiza’s information about hygiene and seeking medical assistance in case of illness helped her realize that she does not have to remain silent, as she has usually done in the past.
The session also highlighted the importance of open dialogue, especially for young women, noting that informed conversations are a powerful tool for empowerment. Students expressed appreciation for the organizers and the facilitator, recognizing the workshop as a valuable opportunity to learn how to protect their bodies and prioritize their overall well-being
