Partnering For Impact Conference 2024

Aitenga Women Empowerment Organisation successfully held its first “Partnering for Impact Conference” on December 6th, 2024. The event featured speakers such as Prof. David Katamba, an Associate Professor at Makerere University Business School and CSR expert, Jun Shiomitsu, CEO & Founder of AVODA Group, and Vicky Kemigabo from Grant Thornton, who shared valuable insights on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The discussions focused on how businesses and NGOs can collaborate to drive sustainable and meaningful change in our communities. The speakers emphasized the importance of integrating CSR initiatives into business models and budgets for long-term success and sustainability.

A key takeaway was that businesses should tackle relevant challenges in our society hence enabling them to make profits while simultaneously benefiting the communities they serve.
