INNOVATIVE PRODUCT DESIGN WORKSHOP PROJECT
Aitenga Innovative Product Design project aims at enhancing the tailoring skills of professional tailors for them to unlock new entrepreneurial opportunities. This comprehensive program provides invaluable training to enhance garment construction abilities, create products aligned with current market demands, increase perceived value through innovative design strategies, and inspire the development of sustainable accessories.
What is the issue?
In our community, there are many tailors, but most of them sell similar products. Many tailors don’t focus on the design details, resulting in a lack of uniqueness and innovation in their offerings. Although there are many skilled tailors in the village, if they dared to be more creative, they could add more unique features to their products.
What is Aitenga doing?
To address these issues, we will conduct a 6-week workshop. During this period, participants will receive advanced tailoring skills training, hear from guest designers who will share their experiences, and go on tours to visit other brands. We aim to help tailors upgrade their skills and design products that meet the community’s needs. By encouraging creativity and individual style, we hope to inspire tailors to create unique products that reflect their artistic vision. Through this initiative, we strive to elevate the overall quality and appeal of locally made goods.
