AITENGA WE EMPOWER!
EDUCATION & CAREER PATH DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
In response to the pressing challenges faced by young people, Aitenga Women Empowerment Organization proudly introduces the Education and Career Path Development Workshops. Recognizing the critical need for guidance in the face of alarming statistics, these workshops are strategically aligned with our mission to uplift and empower the younger generation.
What is the issue?
Uganda faces a unique set of challenges, with over 2 million youths out of school mainly due to education expenses, and a significant percentage lacking regular employment. Uganda has approximately 440,000 graduates from University and about 98,000 graduates from Technical Institutions annually. The unemployment rate for Uganda’s post-secondary graduates is 80%, which is one of the highest in the world. There is a direct disconnect between graduates’ passion, skills and abilities and the education and employment industry resulting from lack of career information.
What is Aitenga doing?
Aitenga introduced the Education and Career Path Development Workshops with an aim to uplift and empower the young people in Uganda. Partnering with local schools, institutions and communities we create career awareness and sufficient educational pathway planning that significantly contribute to the choices young people make in their career and education path journeys.
