Accomplishment Ceremony, Class of 2025
Aitenga Women Empowerment Organisation proudly held an Accomplishment Ceremony to mark the successful completion of a 10-month tailoring training program, celebrating not only the end of a learning cycle but the beginning of new possibilities for its students. The graduating cohort comprised 18 learners from the Beginners’ Class and 11 from the Advanced Class, each representing a journey of growth, resilience, and transformation.

The colorful event was graced by the Kyengera Woman Councillor, Restuta Ssendagire, and the Busiro East Member of Parliament, Hon. Medad Lubega Ssegona, both of whom emphasized the importance of skilling the girl child as a foundation for economic independence, confidence, and long-term self-reliance. Their messages reinforced the value of vocational training as a practical pathway for young women to shape their futures and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

The ceremony was a powerful reflection of personal transformation. Students proudly showcased garments and designs that told stories of perseverance, creativity, and newly acquired confidence. One of the most moving moments came from Nalubwama Mariam, a graduating student from Beginner’s class , who shared her testimony of growth throughout the training. She reflected on how she joined Aitenga with limited knowledge of tailoring but, through consistent guidance, hands on skills training, and various workshops organized by the organisation, gained both technical skills and belief in her own potential. Her story echoed the experiences of many learners whose journeys were shaped by patient instruction, mentorship, and encouragement from the trainers.

Special appreciation goes to the Aitenga teamfor their unwavering dedication to empowering girls through vocational skills and for organizing such a memorable and inspiring milestone.
Congratulations to the Aitenga Tailoring Class of 2025
