Stitch Safari: Exploring Uganda’s Tailoring World!
In celebration of World Tailors Day, 17 incredible participants from Aitenga’s Advanced Tailoring Training embarked on a Stitch Safari Study Tour which was an exciting journey through Uganda’s diverse tailoring industry!. The students visited the; Gaddafi Mosque Craft Market where they explored Ugandan creativity, witnessing handmade crafts and how traditional designs inspire modern tailoring, World Tailors Day Celebration at the UMA Hall which was hosted by the Uganda Tailors Association, this event connected our students with seasoned tailors, offering insights into industry challenges and opportunities. In addition to that they visited China Town Supermarket which gave students a deep dive into materials, accessories, and supplies, helping students learn how to source quality products for their craft. Lastly they visited the Banana Boat crafts shop, which highlighted the importance of branding, quality, and customer satisfaction in the tailoring business. A huge thank you to the students for participating in the tour and to the Aitenga team that coordinated this successful trip.
