Looking Ahead, 2025

Aitenga Women Empowerment Organisation began the year with vibrant energy, continuing our impactful programs that  equip women and girls with essential skills for economic empowerment.

One of our major initiatives this year is the expansion of our tailoring program, where we have successfully registered two groups: a beginners’ tailoring class and an advanced class. These groups will undergo a transformative 10-month training program, aimed at equipping beginners with foundational tailoring skills while helping advanced learners perfect their craft. The program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and practical knowledge, ensuring that every participant gains the confidence to pursue opportunities in the fashion and textile industry.

In addition to our tailoring initiative, we are proud to continue our collaboration with Mama Tulia through the Carry with Love project. This initiative provides kangaroo carriers to mothers, fathers and caregivers, promoting safe and comfortable babywear while fostering maternal well-being. The project, which has already touched many lives, aims to reach even more families this year, ensuring that every mother has access to a supportive and sustainable baby-carrying solution.
